¿Qué tener en cuenta antes de construir un estudio de sonido?
Antes de siquiera empezar a comprar los materiales para tu estudio de sonido, es necesario que pienses algunas consideraciones importantes. Por ejemplo, el lugar donde harás el estudio de sonido. Uno de los lugares más comunes, sobre todo en los años donde no había tecnología de alta gama, eran las cocheras. Pero hoy puedes elegir un cuarto vacío.
En segundo lugar, debes conocer al pie de la letra las fases de una producción musical. No creas que esto se trata solamente de cantar y ya. Hay mucho que hacer al momento de componer, editar y producir.
Por un lado tenemos el proceso de grabación, momento donde la voz y los sonidos de los instrumentos serán atrapados por el micrófono y ordenador. Luego empezará la edición de las voces, la mezcla del sonido y terminará con las masterización, que es el proceso final para distribuir el contenido.
¿Qué necesitas para construir un estudio de sonido?
Habiendo seleccionado el lugar, es momento de tomar las dimensiones de la sala para comenzar la remodelación. Necesitará, primero que nada, los materiales para aislar el sonido exterior que no interfiera con la grabación del sonido.
Lo mismo ocurre con la ‘cabina de producción’, donde deberás incorporar alfombras y paneles acústicas en las paredes y el techo para absorber el sonido. Una vez que haya adaptado el lugar, es momento de conseguir los instrumentos necesarios. Acá te nombraremos los principales:
- Ordenador. El ordenador es uno de los elementos de un estudio de sonido que no pueden faltar. No puede ser un computador común para trabajos del colegio o navegación, sino que debe contar con una memoria RAM potente que soporte los programas de edición y grabación.
- DAW. Es una estación de trabajo de audio que utilizan los ordenadores para editar, mezclar, grabar y escribir las canciones y sonatas que desee. Los mejores tipos de DAW son costosos, así que espere comprar uno de pago y no cualquier versión en la web.
- Interfaz de audio. Es un instrumento que se conecta al ordenador y es el encargado de captar los audios de los micrófonos y convertirlos en archivos digitales que la estación de trabajo de audio pueda leer. Lo ideal es que tenga más de dos puertos donde colocar los instrumentos como la guitarra y el bajo.
- Micrófono. El tipo de micrófono que utilizan en los estudios de audio son los de condensador, especiales para capturar el sonido en una alta calidad sin verse influenciados por factores como la interferencia.
- Audífonos y monitores. También deberá contar con un audífono de calidad para ir escuchando el ritmo, ruido y la incorporación de las mezclas. Los monitores son una opción si deseas reproducir el audio y escuchar lo que se está editando.
